We wake up in the hut and enjoy a beautiful view over the lake. Soon Tina arrives by car to pick us up. We are served an amazing breakfast consisting of home baked bread and wafers with strawberry jam, omelet and sausage. We also get a large package of wafers, bread, jam, and other goodies to bring with us. Tina’s dad Knut-Even also gives us dried rain deer meat, a welcome change for our snickers bars.
It is late in the evening when we arrive at Klokker House on Rödöya, which is situated beautifully in a protected bay, with a few houses and a jam-packed guest harbor. We put up our tent close to the main building but hardly get any protection against the wind, which suddenly blows in with unexpected force. Tomorrow we hope to try Klokker House’s famous fish soup.
